Workin' USA.

Today I applied for a writing job at VH1 (the MTV affiliated music channel) in NYC. It was one of those apply by  uploading your resume to this website set-ups, and as such is probably a long shot. But long shots have been known to hit their targets, and I'm all for a bit of energetic arrow flinging. What a job too - rock 'n' roll and writing all in my favourite place on the planet. Wicked. So cross your fingers for me kiddos. The job hunt has begun.

    Hi Claire, Wowee.. really inspiring wonderful blog, I just finished reading your last one about the not drinking and am now onto this!

    Can I just say.. five years ago I woke up and said to myself, "Who are you kidding woman, you always wanted to move to New York and be a journalist, just bloody well do it." So I moved to Manhattan without a job, just a tiny bit of money and a lot of hope and just winged it until I made it, it was wonderful and terrifying. You will do it too :)

    I'm writing this from my beloved NYC and have not been able to stop thinking of you since I got here. Am so very excited for you to experience that terrified thrill that Rebecca refers to, there is nothing quite like it! (no roller coaster can compare). And also wanted to reiterate that the cream rises to the top in this city...which is exactly what you will do. We're rooting for you Clonz, and won't let you do a thing but succeed MAJORLY!!!
